Metaverse
The Metaverse is a collective virtual Shared SPACe, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and persistent virtual reality. It encompasses a wide range of digital environments where users can interact with each other and the computer-generated environment in real time, often through the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.
Examples and cases of the Metaverse include:
- Gaming: Platforms like Fortnite and Roblox allow players to engage in immersive experiences and social interactions.
- Virtual WorkSPACes: Applications such as Spatial and VR Chat enable remote teams to collaborate in 3D environments.
- Social Interaction: Facebook Horizon (now called Horizon Worlds) offers a SPACe for social networking and community building in a virtual setting.
- Education: Virtual classrooms and training simulations provide interactive learning experiences, such as ENGAGE and ClassVR.
- Commerce: Virtual marketplaces like Decentraland and Cryptovoxels enable users to buy, sell, and trade Digital Assets.
