Blockchain.RIO 2025 expects to attract 20,000 participants and consolidate Brazil as a global blockchain reference
The event will take place in Rio de Janeiro this August, focusing on segmented curation to attract enthusiasts, leaders, companies and investors
Rio de Janeiro, April 14, 2025 – One of the largest b2b blockchain and innovation events in the world, Blockchain.RIO 2025, will take place between 5th-7th August and is expected to bring together 20,000 participants in Rio de Janeiro, including executives, regulators, investors, developers, digital artists, entrepreneurs, students and public sector representatives. Unique in Brazil, the event focuses on business, education and strategic connections, combining content tracks segmented by audience profile with immersive experiences, discussion panels and a business fair.
Launched in 2022, Blockchain.RIO has consolidated itself as the country’s main meeting place for the Web3 community. The 2025 edition will be held in two venues: Casa Camolese, in Jardim Botânico, will host an exclusive event for leaders, investors and sponsors on August 5th; meanwhile on the 6th and 7th, Expo Mag, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, will host the business fair, technical content and immersive experiences which will be open to the public.
The event proposes to go beyond networking and technology: Blockchain.RIO is an ecosystem of companies, people and communities connected by innovation, regulation, education and the market. “Our goal is to connect all the players in the ecosystem and show that Latin America can spearhead the responsible adoption of blockchain technology, with an economic, social and institutional impact”, says Francisco Carvalho, CEO and creator of the event.
A customized experience for a wide range of audience profiles
Blockchain.RIO 2025 offers an experience designed for more than 30 audience profiles, including:
- Leaders in Blockchains, DAOs, Exchanges, Tokenizers and Custody
- Executives from big tech companies, banks and the financial market.
- Innovation managers in energy, agriculture, logistics and healthcare.
- Developers, researchers and students
- Lawyers, accountants, regulators and politicians
- Digital artists and content creators
Each profile will have access to personalized content tracks, with themes including asset tokenization, trading, interoperability, payments, digital identity, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, compliance and sustainability.
“Participants don’t just go to the event to watch. They embark on a journey designed for their reality, with targeted content, business opportunities and relevant connections”, Carvalho notes.
Brazil – a leader in the Web3 era
Blockchain.RIO is taking place in a context in which Brazil is emerging as one of the most advanced countries in the world in the regulation and adoption of crypto assets. According to the Global Crypto Adoption report by Chainalysis, Latin America represents 9.1% of global adoption, with Brazil ranking ninth in the world in terms of users, and first in the region for number of crypto fintechs.
Experts single out events such as Blockchain.RIO as catalysts for this transformation. “The event strengthens Brazil’s position in Latin America and on the international stage, while attracting investments, encouraging the development of talent, and connecting innovation with real impact. We are talking to delegations from countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, El Salvador, Panama, and other Latam countries. There is no doubt that this will be the largest event we have ever held,” concludes Carvalho.
In 2025, Blockchain.RIO will expand its operations with the Blockchain on the Road program, which brings content related to Web3 and crypto assets to universities across Brazil. The initiative is set to visit 17 universities in 12 cities — including São Paulo, Recife, Curitiba, and Florianópolis — and is expected to impact around 2,500 students, with a focus on developing new talent.
