W-9 Form
The W-9 Form is an IRS document used by individuals and entities to provide their taxpayer identification number (TIN) to those who are required to report payments made to them. It is commonly used by freelancers, contractors, and other service providers. For instance, if a freelancer earns over $600 in a year from a cLient, the cLient will request a W-9 to report the payment to the IRS. In cases where the payee is a Corporation, they may not need to fill out a W-9 unless specified.
